Judge Course

The purpose of this course:

  • To update the competition score system in order to connect with the international rules and regulations of rope skipping championships

  • To train more professional judges for local and international rope skipping competitions and championships

  • To maximize the opportunity of practicums for judges for developing their professionalism in the industry

Advanced Freestyle Rope Skipping Judge Course:

  • Eligible to qualified Elementary Freestyle Judges only

  • The course content will include the freestyle judging rules in All Hong Kong Age Group Rope Skipping Competition and Hong Kong Elite Rope Skipping Championships (Master & Team) cum Hong Kong Delegation Team Selection.

  • Participants could be able to serve as Freestyle Judge in the freestyle events of All Hong Kong Age Group Rope Skipping Competition and Hong Kong Elite Rope Skipping Championships (Master & Team) cum Hong Kong Delegation Team Selection after completing the course and obtained the qualification.

Judges’ Guidelines:

  1. Judges must follow the instructions given by the Head Judge with no contempt or rudeness when serving in the competitions.

  2. Judges must be punctual on the competition day. Lateness, absence or early leave are not allowed.

  3. Judges must wear uniform neatly. Qualified judges should wear the JUDGE uniform in black top and dark coloured trousers, judge interns should wear white top and dark coloured trousers.

  4. Speaking foul language, playing, making high pitched noise and using mobile phone are not allowed when judges are serving in the competitions.

  5. Smoking, eating and drinking alcoholic beverages are not allowed when judges are serving in the competitions.

  6. Judges must sit upright, behave well, be fair and cannot cheer for any athletes when serving in the competitions.

  7. Judges must follow the above guidelines, or else the qualification shall be revoked if judges violate the guidelines.

Judges’ Code of Conduct:

  1. Judges must have a proper knowledge of rope skipping.

  2. Judges must read and understand all the rules of judging before the competition.

  3. Judges must obtain a good personal character, to be fair and just when serving in the competitions.

  4. Judges must have good teamwork spirits, cooperation and communication is essential with other judges.

  5. Judges must be willing to accept the assigned tasks given by Hong Kong Rope Skipping Association, China.

  6. Judges must avoid any detrimental behaviours that shall damage the reputation of Hong Kong Rope Skipping Association, China.

  7. Judges cannot use the name of HKRSA Qualified Judge for personal uses without the authorization by the Executive Committee of Hong Kong Rope Skipping Association, China.

  8. Judges must seek for the approval from the Executive Committee of Hong Kong Rope Skipping Association, China for using the name of HKRSA Qualified Judge for personal use or in public.

  9. Hong Kong Rope Skipping Association, China has reserved all rights to all judge courses contents and notes. Unauthorized reproduction and distribution are not allowed.

  10. Judges must continuously attend the workshops and judge courses which organized by Hong Kong Rope Skipping Association, China in order to bring the judging knowledge up-to-date.

  11. Judges must follow the above guidelines, or else the qualification shall be revoked if judges violate the guidelines.
